Moeurs Antiques
"Moeurs Antiques" marks the second volume of the RHIZA saga. Inspired by Aphrodite: Moeurs Antiques, a fiction by Pierre Louys from 1866. The story takes roots in Ancient Greece where Demetrios, the protagonist only has eyes for the statue of the goddess Aphrodite located in Alexandria Port. All the woman are instantly drawn to him and amongst his many admirers is Chrysis. A young woman who falls deeply for him until she realizes this love can only be unrequited, as his heart has already been taken by the goddess of love. Heartbroken, she decides to end her days by ingesting a poison named hemlock, a plant that is at the center of this collection's textiles. The Rhiza woman is a synonym for venomous this season.
